Dancing and technology for traffic safety

This is apparently pretty popular but in case you haven’t already seen it:

People don’t like to wait at pedestrian crossings, which causes accidents and traffic delays. Someone came up with the neat idea of making it more fun to wait by animating the silhouette on the don’t-walk signal. Even better, the silhouette’s performance isn’t programmed into the device: Apparently anyone can go into a nearby booth and dance, with the dancing reproduced on the don’t-walk sign. (I assume if no one is in the booth at a given time, they use a recorded performance.)
