How Houston sheltered pets during Hurricane Harvey

One of the ways in which we’re getting better is the growing realization that pets are important to people, and authorities should not force people to abandon their pets in a natural disaster, even if the authorities themselves don’t care about pets.

A lot of pets in New Orleans were treated horribly during Hurricane Katrina, but things were a lot different in Houston during Hurricane Harvey. This report from PBS News Hour is encouraging and at times moving and worth four minutes of your time:
