We've had some torrential rains here in North Carolina for a few days and there are flooded roads not far from my house, though curiously not actually on my street or anywhere I normally go. (Clean living pays off and all that.) Anyway, I suspect a lot of cats who like to go outside haven't been happy here recently.
Which reminded me of this from the Simon's Cat YouTube channel, a sort of minidocumentary plus a couple of cartoons about cats and water, including useful advice on how to give your cat drinking water and why most cats don't like to get wet (though some do; a friend of mine has one that does). Did you know there's a breed of cat with water-resistant fur and an actual need for swimming facilities? It was news to me, but cats never seem impressed with my knowledge anyway (or with anything else, come to that).
