Earlier post about taxes corrected

In passing in a previous post I erroneously said that investment income is free of Medicare tax in the U.S. As I should have remembered, that’s no longer true for high income people (such as single taxpayers making over $200,000 a year in what’s called modified adjusted gross income). The earlier post has now been updated to correct my mistake.

Comments are moderated, which can take up to a day (rarely even two), so please be patient. I welcome agreement, disagreement, and corrections on anything from substance to spelling. I try to weed out spam and anything defamatory or pointlessly insulting (to anybody), unless of course I think it's really funny.
