An educational music video cover of “Hollaback Girl” about the Bubonic Plague

This is an actual an educational video, based on the song “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani, that teaches some interesting history about the Black Plague, the horrifically deadly pandemic that wiped out about a third of Europe’s population in the 1300s (or 2/3 according to the song):

Barbara Tuchman’s A Distant Mirror is a history of the 14th century Tuchman originally conceived as an examination of how such a catastrophically deadly plague affected the culture. Curiously, despite the horror that directly or indirectly affected almost everybody in Europe, culture proved surprisingly resilient.
