In this remarkable video, a young orangutan in a South Carolina animal sanctuary makes friends with a stray dog who comes to live at the sanctuary.

A particularly interesting bit: When the orangutan is fed, he gives half his food to the dog. The owner of the sanctuary says this is quite common with orangutans. If for example you give an orangutan a piece of candy, often he or she will break the candy in half and give half back to you.
