Zorro to the rescue when chemistry class disrupted

An organic chemistry lecture at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor was interrupted by a blatant purse snatching on March 16. Fortunately the event was caught on video, and by happy coincidence the thief’s plot was foiled by the completely coincidental but fortuitous presence of a mariachi band and El Zorro, which permitted justice to be done and the chemistry lecture continued after only a brief interruption.

Update: I should have thought to mention sooner that near the very end of the clip, the chemistry prof — who was not in on the joke — provides the capper to the whole thing, so even if you don’t want to sit through all 2 minutes and 48 seconds of it, including 48 seconds of credits, do watch the very beginning and the part from 1:50 to 2:00.
