Jon Stewart skewers CNN pseudo-journalist Nancy Grace

In the following bit from March 23 edition of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Jon Stewart makes fun of reporters of several reporters for getting angry on the air. As usual, it’s entertaining, but the part about Nancy Grace (starting at 1:32) sadly demonstrates why viewers need some healthy skepticism. In a clip from her CNN show, Grace asks AccuWeather senior meteorologist Bernie Rayno about the danger to the U.S. from the current nuclear crisis in Japan. Rayno starts to explain why it doesn’t pose a significant threat that far away, but Grace, apparently not happy with a non-sensational answer, interrupts him, falsely suggests that California has declared a state of emergency because of the radiation danger, and goes into a constant sneer of the sort one might recall from schoolyard arguments:
