Typo of the week: Giant carnivorous what?

A roundup of science news (link) on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show blog includes this rather disconcerting entry:

I suspect that last word should actually be “plants,” specifically a recently described species of sundew named Drosera magnifica that’s 123 centimeters [4 feet] tall and was oddly enough first noticed by scientists in photos posted on Facebook. It’s endangered and as far as is known lives only on a single mountaintop in Brazil.

But then again, the item appears under a picture of Mars, which (as the immediately preceding science news item mentions) is creeping suspiciously closer to us of late.
