Dang it’s cold

It was about 11 degrees Fahrenheit (-12 Celsius) when I got up yesterday morning, and it was not much warmer when I dropped off my car for service and walked to my office building. It reminded me a little of the year I was stationed in Iceland, though there it was often a great deal colder. (But then again, that was also when I was a good deal younger.)

Anyway, as usual when we have a severe cold snap in the U.S., there are people who perhaps understandably suppose that this somehow disproves global warming. The XKCD web comic had a nice response to that yesterday:
