Improved car door

I’m not sure this is practical from a cost standpoint, and as the YouTube comments point out, one wonders what happens in the event of an accident or loss of power, but if those problems are solvable, this looks like a nifty idea:

  1. I see one major problem. What if you have your dog in the back seat and you want to run into the grocery store, while making sure your dog stays safely inside?
