I’ve linked to this before but didn’t include the video itself, so I thought I’d do it right this time. For those of you not familiar with this often hilarious web series, it features Travis Harmon and Jonathan Shockley of Murfreesboro Tennessee portraying a couple of good old boys who comment on current events. Part of what makes them appealing is that while their characters Jackie Broyles and Dunlap are parodies, they’re affectionate parodies and rather likable.

In this first video, Jackie and Dunlap are conflicted about the demise of Osama bin Laden. How are Red State people supposed to deal with the notion that the President did something they like?

In this one, they comment on predictions of the end of the world and recent natural disasters, ultimately leading Jackie to admit he’s starting to worry that the hippies were right all along about nuclear power, and if they were, could it be that they were right about other things as well? Smoking doobies? Mud sex? The Doors?
